CPR Training in East Haddon- The Parish Council has been successful in obtaining a defibrillator for the village through a government grant administered by the British Heart Foundation. The defibrillator is located at the Village Hall and will be available 24/7 for emergency use only as directed by the ambulance service following a call to 999. As part of the BHF initiative there are CPR training sessions for residents. To register an interest in a training session please email the parish clerk at easthaddonpc@yahoo.co.uk . Sessions are held in the village hall.. Sessions are limited to 10 participants. Cllr. Marysia Wells.

The War Memorial in the churchyard of East Haddon is a proud reminder of both personal & collective sacrifice. It is at the centre of our remembrance to the fallen each Armistice Day. At  present it is looking rather dilapidated, particularly on the western side where the slate roll of honour has had to be removed due to its' imminent collapse. It lies safely in the church.

Your Parish Council has engaged the services of Mr.John Barker who is our church architect. He is in the process of producing specifications for work to be carried out on this iconic monument. Quotations for the work will then be sought and your Parish Council in liaison with the Parish Church Council will take the decision of the best way forward. This will include applying to the Diocesan Advisory Committee for a faculty to enable the work to proceed. We shall be applying to the War Memorial Trust for grant aid.

You can rest assured that your Council intends that this memorial be refurbished to a standard which will last not only for our generation, but generations to come, Chairman John Benson

Minutes and agenda for meetings are available to download from the Meetings page.
